Guess who I’ve had in my cab?
Whilst working outside The Theatre Royal our Spierings 488 driver Ian Jones bumped into Dame Judi Dench who was coming out of the stage door.
His opening line was “the City Lifting crane drivers from Casino Royale send their regards”. She actually showed a lot of interest in the crane and wanted to get in the top cab. She made it to the top (some of our telescopic crane drivers can’t do that) and had a good look round.
The cream outfit she was wearing probably went in the bin afterwards as all our cranes are kept well greased!
